The Wash N Fold Process

Weigh

ZIPS uses a scale basket to weigh Customer’s clothes. There is a 10lb minimum.

Wash

Similar to home laundry washing, but at ZIPS you get the added benefits of our proprietary detergents and sanitizer.

Dry

Once the clothes are clean and sanitized, it is time to dry and fluff them.

All garments are neatly folded and packaged.

What Is Wash and Fold?

Wash and fold, also known as fluff and fold, is a service for items that do not require pressing or hangers. ZIPS will wash, dry, and fold your garments and then neatly package them for you to take home! We encourage customers to purchase our customer bags, which are just $4.99 plus tax. Use this bag every time you visit, and we’ll return it to you with your freshly cleaned garments inside.

What is the difference between dry cleaning and Wash and Fold services?

The difference is in the cleaning method and the packaging. Wash N Fold service is similar to home laundry, but at ZIPS you get the added benefits of our proprietary detergents and sanitizer. After washing and drying, we neatly fold and package your garments. In our dry cleaning service, we use hydrocarbon solvent, an environmentally friendly dry cleaning solution. After cleaning, stain removal and pressing, we return your garments on hangers.

Which items are not suitable for the Wash and Fold service?

While our wash and fold service is designed to accommodate a wide range of everyday laundry needs, there are certain items that are not suitable for wash and fold due to their special care requirements. This includes delicate garments that require dry cleaning, such as silk, lace, or items with embellishments; oversized items like comforters, blankets, and sleeping bags that may not fit within standard commercial washing machines; and specialized items such as wedding dresses, leather goods, and fur, which need professional attention to preserve their quality and appearance. Additionally, garments that are heavily soiled with substances that require special treatment, such as oil, paint, or chemical stains, may also be excluded to prevent damage to these items. We always recommend consulting with our staff if you’re unsure whether an item is suitable for wash and fold, as we’re here to ensure your laundry is cared for appropriately.
