ZIPS® UGLIEST TIE CONTEST
SAVE HIS NECK AND WIN HIM A $500 RETAIL GIFT CERTIFICATE.
You know the tie we mean: the one with all the color of an oil slick. The one that looks better if he DOES spill something on it. Here's your chance to get rid of Dad's ugliest tie and win him a retail certificate worth $500 or one of 11 2nd place prizes worth $25. Just grab Dad's ugliest tie, bring it into ZIPS®.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. The ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest begins May 12, 2008 when you can start bringing your ties to any participating ZIPS Dry Cleaners® during normal business hours. No ties will be entered into the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest without a legible and fully completed entry form. The last day to deliver ties to a participating ZIPS Dry Cleaners® location for entry to the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest is May 31, 2008 during normal business hours. Participants are free to enter more than one tie, but each tie must be accompanied by a separate legible and fully completed entry form. Entry forms may be found on the hangar tags placed on garments that have been dry-cleaned and returned to ZIPS Dry Cleaners® customers or entry forms may be picked up at the counter of any participating ZIPS Dry Cleaners® during normal business hours until the end of business on May 31, 2008. No late entries will be accepted.
2. Ties submitted to the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest will NOT be returned to Dad or anyone else owning or submitting the tie to the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest. All ties submitted to the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest - whether or not they are actually entered into the voting - will be donated to Goodwill Industries. ZIPS Dry Cleaners® disclaims any responsibility for the handling of the ties by Goodwill Industries - which might impose a fee for the purchase of the ties or might decide that certain ties are just too ugly to sell or even give away.
3. Each tie submitted to the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest with a legible and fully completed entry form will be cleaned, pressed and photographed. A picutre of the tie will be posted on the ZIPS Dry Cleaners® website at www.321ZIPS.com, where anyone logging onto the website may vote for his or her favorite ugly tie. Voting on-line begins June 9, 2008 and ends on June 30, 2008. YOU MAY VOTE ONLY ONCE FROM EACH E-MAIL ADDRESS AND YOU MAY VOTE FOR ONLY ONE TIE!
4. The ugly tie receiving the most number of votes by all on-line voters will be awarded a $500 gift from one of these retailers: Macy's, Nordstrom's, Men's Warehouse, Jos. A. Banks. Eleven second place finishers, based upon the number of votes received for each ugly tie, will each be awarded a $25 ZIPS®. Gift certificates will be awarded to the person whose name and address is completed on the entry form. If you want Dad to receive the gift certificate, be sure to enter his name and contact information on the entry form. All information must be completed on the entry form in order to receive any prize. Ties submitted with missing or illegible information on the entry form will not be entered in the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest.
5. ZIPS Dry Cleaners® will not be responsible if the winner of a retail gift certificate does not live near athe retailer or does not use the retail gift certificate by the expiration date of any such certificate. Retail gift certificates awarded to the winners may require in-store purchases and may not be usable for purchases over the Internet or through catalog sales. ZIPS Dry Cleaners® will not be responsible for any other restrictions the retailer may place on the use of the retail gift certificate or for any loss or theft of the retail gift certificate after it is delivered to the winner.
6. Vote on-line for your favorite ugly tie at the ZIPS Dry Cleaners® website at www.321ZIPS.com. Each voter who votes on-line at the ZIPS Dry Cleaners® website will be entitled to receive a coded certificate to have one garment cleaned free at any participating ZIPS Dry Cleaners® location. Voting certificates are not valid for suede, leather, multi-piece or extremely heavily soiled or stained garments. Retail value of the free dry cleaning is $1.85 and voting certificates are only valid at participating ZIPS Dry Cleaners® locations. Print out the free drycleaning certificate and take it with your garment to a participating ZIPS Dry Cleaners®. Free dry cleaning certificates must be presented at the time the garment is presented for cleaning. Free dry cleaning certificates will expire July 31st, 2008. Dry cleaning certificates will become void after they have been used once. ZIPS Dry Cleaners®' computers will not permit multiple certificates with the same code from being used after the first presentation, so please don't try to use your coded free dry cleaning certificate more than once.
7. The winners of the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest will be notified by phone by July 7, 2008. The winning ties will be displayed on the ZIPS Dry Cleaners® website at www.321ZIPS®.com until August 31, 2008. Vote totals for each of ugly ties entered into the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest will also be posted until August 31, 2008. NAMES OF THE WINNERS OF THE ZIPS® UGLY TIE CONTEST WILL NOT BE PUBLICLY ANNOUNCED TO AVOID ANY MORE EMBARASSMENT TO THE WINNERS! Winners of the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest will also be notified by mail after July 14, 2008 and their retail gift certificates will be sent to them by mail. ZIPS Dry Cleaners® is not responsible for any failure of delivery of the gift certificates by the United States Post Office for any reason, including because of any errors or illegable information on the ZIPS® Ulgy Tie Contest entry form.
8. No purchase is necessary to enter the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest. Entry forms may be picked up at any participating ZIPS Dry Cleaners® . All entries must be submitted in person at a participating ZIPS® Drycleaners®.
9. ZIPS Dry Cleaners®' owners, employees and their families are not eligible to participate in the ZIPS® Ugly Tie Contest.
10. Participating ZIPS Dry Cleaners® locations include the ZIPS Dry Cleaners® in Annapolis, Chester, College Park, Frederick, Laurel, Marlow Heights, Rockville Skaggsville, and Timonium, Maryland; Alexandria, Falls Church (2 locations) and Fredericksburg, Virginia; Washington, DC. and York, PA
